She thinks, because the way this planets' days work makes it hard to tell sometimes, as well as her own lack of ability to do much of anything while she couldn't move around without the world spinning. Julie's pretty sure, though, that it wasn't a full week.
Her hand reaches over, and she pats the back of his head.
"I'm gonna use your shower, okay? You get some rest."
That muffled noise that follows that statement is a singular laugh of disbelief. However long it had been it had been long enough to assure him he is not made of tough enough material to go full Helen Keller. Had that lasted much longer...
...it's not time to think about that right now.
He turns his head just enough so Julie can hear him when he speaks.
He turns his head, and it's just enough that she can lean over and press a kiss to his cheek. Poor Whistler. She can't even imagine what kind of hell the past few days has been for him.
"Just did what I'd hope anyone would do," she tells him, not quite moving away just yet but looking down at him for his reaction. Whistler's sometimes shaky sense of self-worth isn't something she's unfamiliar with. Would anyone have hung around for that long, while he jerked unpredictably between panic and near-catatonia?
At the kiss he reaches a hand back just enough to lightly tug at a strand of her hair, wrapping it gently around the tip of a finger then releasing it.
"Not just anyone would have done it, Julie."
He shifts onto his side.
"I may not have been entirely myself, but I still know enough to know I was a pain in the ass the past few days..."
"That's an understatement," she tells him, resting a hand on his arm when he moves. She drums her fingers lightly against it, not able to deny the truth in what he's saying. He had been hard to live with, but it hadn't been his fault.
"That's crazy talk," she chuckles, knowing full well that he would never say that seriously. Nothing short of total destruction of the spire is going to make Whistler move himself out of it.
"I'll help you clean up. After I've showered."
Julie leans down to plant a light kiss on him, then heads off to jump under some hot water before she gets distracted by another conversation.

"Go ahead."
Pause.
"and...thank you, Julie."

Maybe not.
"You don't have to thank me."

Except on no level does he mean that. Hermits do not readily move unless the apartment is on fire or worse.
